We’re just about at the midpoint of our summer session at Shepherd Music School, but it’s not too late to join us! Even if you take just two to four lessons during the month of July, that’s enough to get a head start on learning for the fall. Summer is a great time to start a new instrument since the commitment period is so much shorter than our fall and spring semesters.
Did you know that kids usually make more progress during the summer than they do during the academic year? If sort of makes sense, since there isn’t a draining day of school, followed by an assortment of after-school activities, and of course the dreaded homework! Even kids who are involved in full-day summer camp make good progress. There is more time available to practice in the evening.
Here’s to our summer students, and all of those students who will be returning during the week of August 13th!
